He said you need to know you sphere of awareness, which is those topics and issues about which you're aware and maybe bothered by. We had to explain to her that using all your game time to carry other people doesn't work. I had to insist on getting her geared up once she hit the cap so that she didn't get left behind when a bunch of us joined a raiding guild. Being quite a bit older than the bulk of the guild (and we have an 18+ rule!) often has me "counseling" them through the latest break-up, job conundrum, hangover regret, whatever. And on top of that I am the one with multiple 80s to have every profession covered and key you can think of!
